Now you can ride public transport with a Presto card featuring your favorite superhero (or a villain 🙂

Metrolinx in collaboration with Fan Expo Canada, Warner Bros. and DC Comics created a line of Presto trading cards featuring comic book legends such as Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and the Joker.

The number of DC Hero-themed travel cards is limited to 5,000 copies. They will be available exclusively at the Metrolinx booth at the Fan Expo Canada from August 25 to 28 2022 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.

Unlike engraved Presto cards and other one-off designs or promotions that allow commuters to get these cards for free, this marketing trick aims only the most dedicated collectors. The cards will sell for $35 plus tax, and that’s only after you’ve spent the $37 minimum fee for a one-day festival ticket.

So such a card will cost you about $75 and will work just like the $6 card you probably already have in your wallet. But what can you do for your favorite superheroes! Or, after all, villains?
